Ninja Coach | Customer Service


Aspire Climbing Vaughan is a dynamic, multi-faceted full-service climbing gym. We value outgoing, friendly, and capable candidates that excel working with kids and pre-teens. Previous experience working with youth is preferred. Reliability, attention to detail, strong communication skills, initiative and leadership by example are valued criteria for our staff. Applicants should enjoy ninja warrior in any form and must enjoy working in a family-friendly environment. Climbing experience, knowledge and technical skills are plusses. This role will continue to develop our League of Ninjas program and develop our recreational and competitive Ninja teams.


  • Must possess fundamental ninja skills

  • Confidence, assertiveness and leadership working with children and adults

  • Facilitate group classes for youth ranging from 6 - 13 years old

  • Strong communication to provide high quality one-on-one or group instruction

  • Plan and maintain Ninja programming based on class performance

  • Coaching and development of Ninja co-instructors

  • Reconfigure ninja course based on upcoming lessons while keeping it accessible for our diverse clientele

  • Protect our customers and staff by enforcing gym policies and procedures

  • Communicate effectively with ability to command focus and attention while providing instruction and safety orientations

  • Adaptable and coachable  

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Answer phones, take messages, schedule parties/groups, register students/participants for classes/clinics/event

  • Maintain a clean, safe,  and organized gym environment for all patrons and staff

  • Operate a cash register and computerized point-of-sale (POS) system

  • Maintain knowledge of pricing, programs and services

Must be able to regularly work 10-15 hours per week. Regular availability is desired. General evening availability is a must. Weekend availability is preferred.


Starting pay: $15 - $17.50/hour (to commensurate with experience).


Applicants must have a strong work ethic, must be efficient and able to work on a reliable schedule. Applicants should have a positive attitude, be quick problem solvers, and must work well with others. Climbing or Ninja experience is required. Applicants must be willing to learn and further develop and improve customer service and overall climbing skills. Aspire is willing to train high value candidates.

Staff must be able to perform manual labor, including working at height. Staff must be comfortable with lifting objects up to roughly 50 pounds. Vulnerable sector check required.
