Rec Bouldering Competition

Please join us in celebrating our first birthday on Saturday July 9th from 12pm to 7pm! We will be hosting a recreational scramble competition followed by finals in the same day. This recreational competition is a great way to challenge yourself and your friends in a friendly supportive environment. Spectators are of course allowed, and the everything in the gym aside from the back wall will be available. At 3pm there will be cake, pizza, and a vendor market with finals for the competition kicking off at 5pm.

The entire back wall will be reset for the competition. From 12pm to 3pm you can attempt as many of the climbs as you like. You have unlimited attempts on each climb, points are earned for each completed climb with more points for fewer attempts. Each climb can only count once, and your top 6 climbs determine your final score.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Competitors will be automatically distributed into one of three categories.

Beginner: up to V3
Intermediate: V4-V6
Advanced: V7+

The competition starts with a 3 hour scramble. Following the scramble, we'll tabulate scores and announce the finalists. In the two hour break you are welcome to climb and/or hang out with the community. Following the break, the finalists will compete in the finals to crown the ultimate winners.

Reset/Break/Cake/Pizza 3pm-5pm
Finals 5pm-7pm

Podium & Prizes 7:30pm

Registration is $25, and you can register online or at the front desk. Day rates still apply for non-members, and
all participants are welcome!
