THE ROLE
As our Digital Marketing Specialist, you will work closely with the management team to deliver engaging content about promotions, events, and other community-building initiatives. Your goal will be to keep Aspire’s brand fun, quirky, and relevant in the climbing and fitness space. You’ll collaborate with various stakeholders to strategize and develop creative ideas that align with our desired messaging, producing compelling content tailored to our core audience. In this role, you’ll manage Aspire’s digital presence by maintaining the website, optimizing digital marketing campaigns, and crafting captivating social media strategies. Your efforts will ensure that Aspire stands out as a vibrant and inspiring hub for our community, all while keeping our brand fresh and innovative.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Management: Improve and maintain our online presence using website-building tools such as Wix and WordPress.
Digital Marketing: Leverage SEO, keyword strategies, Google Ads, and analytical tools to understand customer behavior, optimize conversions, and increase online acquisition.
Content Creation: Develop engaging content for websites, social media, and other digital platforms to effectively communicate Aspire’s message.
Social Media Strategy: Utilize best practices in social media to drive engagement, with a keen understanding of trends and audience preferences.
Email Campaigns: Develop email campaigns for E-Newsletter subscribers to promote events, sales, and community news.
Reporting: Analyze and report on digital marketing efforts, including online ad conversions, social engagement, and email blasts, to optimize approach and strategy to achieve desired results.

PROGRAMS AND TOOLS
Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar programs.
Website-building tools: Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, or similar.
Google Ads, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, or other digital marketing platforms.
Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent Google Apps.
Social Media Apps (Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).

THE REWARD
This is an hourly position with 32 hours per week. Starting pay is $21 per hour. This position is offered through the Canada Summer Jobs 2025 initiative with the Government of Canada. Eligible candidates must be between 15 and 30 years of age, inclusively. The employment contract is from June 2nd to August 30th, 2025. A part-time employment opportunity may follow.
